Types of Id Cards

All photo ID badges and photo ID cards are printed in the standard CR-80 credit card size card stock. We do not print oversized cards at this time due to the low request and the high cost of specialized dye-sublimation printers

An ID card is designed to be carried in a wallet or ID case and is usually a horizontal layout. An ID badge is usually worn on one's clothing. ID badges can be either horizontal or vertical in design.

Photo identification cards and badges are printed on photo quality PVC plastic card stock to provide high quality images.

Horizontal and Vertical Layout
We will design your ID cards and ID badges to your specifications. Most ID cards for a wallet or ID case are usually printed in a horizontal format to accomodate more text and larger text as opposed to a vertical format.

ID Badges to be worn on one's clothing
Clip-on photo ID badges can be printed in either a horizontal or vertical format, however, printing a clip-on badge in a horizontal design requires the text to be moved down from the top of the ID badge approximately 1/2 inch.

FRONT PRINTING - FULL COLOR with a CLEAR PROTECTIVE OVERLAY PANEL
All identification cards and identification badges are printed using a high quality dye-sub process. All ID cards and ID badges are printed in full color on the front. A clear overlay panel is then applied on the front of the ID cards to help prevent fading.

REAR PRINTING CHOICES - BLANK, BLACK INK ONLY, FULL COLOR with a CLEAR OVERLAY

COLOR front printing - The prices shown on our "Pricing" page reflects the price per card with full color on the front and no printing on the back. A clear thin overlay panel is included with color printing to reduce fading due to normal wear.

Black ink only - Optional black printing on the back is available for an additional charge of $1.00 per ID card or per ID badges. This is usually the preferred choice for most companies and agencies. Most organizations will usually print the company or agency name, address, telephone, fax, email address, and web address on the rear in black ink only. With this choice there is no overlay panel on the rear to prevent fading or to prevent someone from attempting to alter the text by erasing it, however, this is usually not a problem.

Full color rear with a clear protective overlay panel - Additional charge of $2.00 per ID card and ID badge. This provides full color on both sides with a clear protective overlay on both sides. Graphic images can also be printed on the back side of the ID cards and ID badges when color printing is used on the back. Most agencies and companies feel full color on the rear is not necessary, but we do provide this service to our customers who request it.
