Police, Fire, and EMS photo identification
cards and photo identification badges can be printed with a variety
of information and graphics.
The $24.95 one-time set up charge includes the use
of multiple images at no additonal cost. However, if your agency
or company requests each individual's fingerprint, or each employee's
signature to be printed on the ID card or ID badge there will be
an additional per card charge of $1.00 per individual fingerprint
and $1.00 for each individual signature due to the increased time
involved in the process. A static (non-changing signature) of the
chief or authorizing person issuing the photo ID card or photo ID
badge is included in the set up fee at no additional cost.
PATCHES - BADGES - LOGOS - STATE SEALS
Most agencies prefer to have an image of their uniform patch printed
on their ID cards and ID badges. Some agencies also request that
an image of their badge printed. We are able to do either or both,
although, a patch will usually present a sharper image when scanned
as it is flat and non-reflective. It is best to send the patch to
us so we can scan a high resolution image. A badge can also be scanned
or you may try to photograph it, however, it is usually difficult
to obtain a quality image using either procedure due to light reflecting
off of the metal surface.
We have images of all US state seals in our database. Township seals
and company logos should be sent to us in digital format for best
results.
IMAGES OF VEHICLES, BUILDINGS, ETC.
Images of emergency vehicles and agencybuildings
are an attractive way of personalizing your ID cards and ID badges.
You may send us either a digital photograph or printed 35 mm photograph
suitable for scanning. This is also available at no additional cost
to you.
WATERMARKS aka GHOSTED IMAGES
Many agencies request a watermark or ghosted image in the
background of the ID cards. We can also do this for you at no addtional
cost. A patch, badge, state, township, city seal, or company logo
can be watermarked in the background of your photo ID cards and
photo ID badges without interfering with printed text.
AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES
Many chiefs prefer to have his or her signature printed on the photo
ID cards and ID badges. We will be happy to do this for you at no
additional charge. If a signature is preferred, have the authorizing
person sign his or her name in black ink on a plain (unlined) sheet
of white paper. If possible use a fine felt tip marker. If a marker
is not available a medium point black ink pen will also be satisfactory.
A normal size signature will be fine. We will size it accordingly.
EMS Personnel Names
We have found that most EMS personnel prefer to have only
their first names printed on the front of the photo ID badges for
security reasons. Full names are usually printed on the back side
of the ID badges that are worn by EMS personnel to comply with Medicare
requirements of full name, certification number, and company affiliation.
Most companies agree that this is the best way to comply with identification
requirements while providing some degree of anonymity to the employee
while dealing with confrontational persons that EMS must sometimes
provide medical assistance to.
